With two dogs that love to be in and out of the house constantly, I needed a magnetic door that was easy to install and protected from the elements. It worked wonderfully. The magnets close the door securely, but dogs can easily open them. One of my dogs is a 35 pound little guy. It is very easy to install with velcro. Only thing is it was a little longer than I needed but you have to have a 1" gap at the bottom for it to open and close so I had to attach the top to the rear window above the door. The hot weather melted the glue on the glass and the door started to slide down but I just taped it in place and hot weather was fine. One big thing that says in the description but I didn't think it would make a difference is that it's really weatherproof. When it's cold outside, this prevents the cold from penetrating inside. The same applies when it is very hot outside. One thing I want to emphasize is that when installing, make sure the center top is higher than the sides as recommended in the instructions. When you do this, it will open and close very nicely. As mentioned in my title, the design is a bit like something from the 50's (that might be your style), but I was looking for more functionality than looks.
