I bought it many years ago

I'm a software developer and I sometimes spend 2-3 hours directly on the phone to help with tech support issues. After years of messing around with cheap wired headphones with poor sound quality and low volume (both for myself and the person who was talking to me), I took a chance and bought this headset. Too bad I didn't buy it many years ago. Assembly was easy - the written and illustrated assembly instructions were clear and concise. After that initial charge, I used it to talk to several customers and ask each of them if they could hear me or if they had any sound quality issues. Everyone replied that the sound quality and volume were good. I'm not a fan of on-ear headsets and was initially grateful that the on-ear headband was included in the box. After trying the strap and on-ear headphones, I actually preferred the latter. After pressing the answer and hang up button during the day, my ear hurts and feels red. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Something I didn't really do before buying it is that I lost my Call Waiting Caller ID feature. That means if I'm using a headset and another call comes in on the same line, I hear a call waiting tone through the headset, but neither my regular phone base nor my cordless handset shows the caller ID name/number. I spoke to Plantronics Technical Support and as I expected they told me there was no workaround for this issue. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • One touch control with answer/end, volume and mute
Cons
  • Concise manual
