Review on Willow & Everett Whistling Tea Kettle - 2.75 Quart Stove Top Tea Pot with Stainless Steel, Mirror Finish & Strainer by Montrell Copeland

Purchased 4-5 months ago

Reviews for this kettle were mixed so I waited a bit to write a review. It is a pleasure to look at this kettle while sitting on my stove in the open design area. The finish is beautiful shiny stainless steel. I have a few small stains in the finish. This is from other pans that stumbled across - my fault, not the kettles. I've read reviews complaining about the whistle. I have found that when the kettle is full the whistle can be a little weak, when the kettle is low on water it can make a squeak. When there is about 6 cups of water, the whistle is spot on. This is the physics of water and vapor pressure. There have also been complaints of water leakage around the spout. Haven't had any problems with it up until this week. Now I've found that when water is poured over the level of the spout, it spills out through the seam that connects the spout to the kettle. If you drain the water just below the seam, there will be no leak. Hope this helps others to decide. Overall I am happy with my purchase
