I bought this coffee maker to replace my mini keireg which didn't have a container. I was hoping for a once a day mug that would go with my travel mug when needed. After looking for one with the right height and tank. I bought this model and the first one that came didn't work so I got a replacement. I plugged this in and poured some water into a standard coffee mug, options are 8 oz or 15 oz. I chose 8 ounces and it seems like a standard 1/2 cup. Then I ran it again at 15 ounces and it ran over the standard cup. Another annoying thing compared to my old one is that you have to wait for it to heat up before you can choose the brew size. I go into the kitchen, turn it on, stand and watch it, waiting for it to heat up, and after that I can only use my 15-ounce travel mug. Guess my regular coffee cups are useless once I leave this thing. Maybe I'll turn the old one back on.
