I bought this for my desk and everyone who passed by wanted to know what it was. It really pumps out vapor and is almost completely silent. I'd say if you're using this for a 9-10 hour workday you just have to top it up in the morning and it will last all day. If you need to run longer before you need to refill, there's also an intermittent vapor mode. It's only 6 inches high and the base circumference is about 3.5 inches, making it very portable and doesn't take up much space. The LED mode isn't very noticeable in a brightly lit office, but that's okay. It will be a really cute baby humidifier and night light combo when placed next to the bedside table. It's really convenient to have a USB powered model because I can plug it directly into a computer, monitor or docking station. If you need to plug it into the wall, you'll need an AC to USB converter as it doesn't come with it. I'm about to order two more for a co-worker to give as Christmas gifts to his wife and daughter!
