I mainly use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 3 as a multimedia device. These are my night clock, alarm clock, video and music system, plexi media and book/magazine reader. My bedside table is a bit higher than my mattress, so I tried a couple of stands to get the screen about the same height as the base and protrude a bit without fear of tipping over. The weight of the base and the ability to tighten all the hinges with the included hex wrenches make this stand exceptional to me. Unlike other coasters, this coaster is made of aluminum. Other coasters I've bought with the same hinge screws were plastic, never held up and kept coming loose (find a 2-in-1 stand here for under counter and on table use). Years without finding anything better. so far. The main arms rotate 360 degrees so you can point them towards the back of the base. The head pivots so you can point it straight down. The nice addition of the 1/4" camera adapter makes it a great stand for desktop macro photography or food photography, and the stand is heavy and strong enough to support my full size DSLR. What a plus! Leaves for storage it folds up fine.but at 3 1/2 pounds it will add some weight to your suitcase but it's worth it.If you plan to use it as a POS or check-in system, it can withstand a strong touch without tipping over or change position.I can't stress enough how durable it is.The mount is a simple snap-in mount, so mounting a desk or phone isn't a three-handed job (or two-handed and chin-like, like the This is the case with another mount that had a latch on the back.) The mounts are small, there are cutouts for the USB charging port, the mounts do not block any ports on my tablet, LG G6 or Iphone 7.
