Review on Motorcycle Waterproof Speaker Amplifier System by Tony Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality and volume

Instructions suck but you only need basic knowledge to hook up the amp. Put it on the '05 Boulevard C50T. The quick disconnects don't fit my bike but they are very easy to use with the other power cord that comes with it. The amp fitted perfectly in the toolbox area and made it easy to run the power cord, requiring less than a foot of cord. Tool kit moved to saddlebags so no problem. You need to buy a switch and built in fuse to get it right. Otherwise the amplifier is always switched on. I didn't connect a USB port or volume controls as they are unnecessary and detract from the look of the bike. The speakers on the steering wheel already do this, so nothing more is required. They're pretty impressive in volume. The speakers start to distort when cranked up to 3/4 and up, but that's because it gets really loud. I had a problem with a little engine noise, but I solved it. I read other reviews about the sound not being heard on the track. let me be clear I have a windshield and can hear it clearly at 80mph with no problem. The speakers are of good quality and heavy/durable in construction. The speaker mounts aren't very good and I carry a multi-tool with me to regularly tighten them. I am satisfied with the purchase and especially with the price. I wish the speaker cords were longer as there are enough but NO extra ones.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Bad instructions
