This dress is even prettier in person! I was nervous about what size to order. The reviews seemed to have different experiences with sizing. So I ordered based on the measurements from the sizing guide listed with the dress. I'm so glad that I did! My girls are definitely on the petite side. My 8 year old would typically be a 6 maybe 7 in dresses and my 6 year old a 5. Based on the measurements I ordered my 8 year old a size 5 and it fits her great with plenty of room from her to move around and not feel restricted! I find it to be a little wide through the waist area. She said it's very comfortable and the inside fabric is soft (they are so picky so for me this dress was a great success!) I am disappointed that my youngest daughters has come in yet when I ordered both dresses at the same time! So I'll have to update wants hers comes in. But for reference my 6 year old did try on her sisters size 5 and it was way too big and boxy on her. I'm sure her size 4 will fit great though! I will be adding a sash I made to their dresses to tie in wedding colors and that helped the waist area not look at boxy.
