Review on 🔧 Improved Fel-Pro Rear Engine Main Seal Set (BS 40689) for Enhanced Performance in Engine Sealing by Ray Richards

Fel-Pro is a leader in the automotive sealing industry. There were no installation instructions. The MX5 NC has a small groove that the bottom of the seal sits in. Be sure to clean the groove and remove the oil at the seal installation site. Before installing the gasket, apply an appropriate amount of heat and oil resistant sealant to this groove area. I learned this the hard way and didn't use sealant so I had to remove the gearbox again to use sealant.
