Which sealant?

I don't remember the instructions telling me to use sealant. Installed dry and leaking. Gosh, I should have known better.

I definitely recommend it!

Item came 2 days earlier than expected. It was boxed and well packed to avoid damage. They sent you the right part the first time. No returns and no disappointments. Highly recommended

Gasket won't stay on

This is the second time a Felpro gasket has been fitted to the engine and now it's leaking again. The installation tool was used but the leak still occurred. There were no problems with the installation, everything was twisted properly. disappointed with the functionality of this seal. I would not recommend this print. An OEM seal is affixed in its place.

Mazda MX-5 NC Rear Oil Seal

Fel-Pro is a leader in the automotive sealing industry. There were no installation instructions. The MX5 NC has a small groove that the bottom of the seal sits in. Be sure to clean the groove and remove the oil at the seal installation site. Before installing the gasket, apply an appropriate amount of heat and oil resistant sealant to this groove area. I learned this the hard way and didn't use sealant so I had to remove the gearbox again to use sealant.
