They have very poor traction on some playground surfaces and I had to help my son up the slope to keep from slipping. I don't know what the soles are made of, but when they wear out do they really turn to fluff? Which only exacerbates the problem with traction. I will spend the extra $10 to buy him quality shoes next time.
