During testing I found that the low voltage protection kicked in at 11.7V and the unit wouldn't turn on before 12.3V. After testing with two other vendors who claimed to have 11.6V low voltage protection (but didn't trip up to 10.5V), I was pleasantly surprised that this device actually works as advertised. It also implements hysteresis, which requires the battery to be charged before turning it back on. Very beautiful! One oddity is that they provide a mini fuse with a 10Amp fuse and then a second in-line fuse on the wiring harness. I don't plan on using a backup tap so this works for me, but other users might find this double backup arrangement a bit odd.
