So I have four different sizes: 40K (90 pounds); 50kg; 60kg; and 80 kg (175 lb). I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 138 pounds. As a former US Army paratrooper, fitness is nothing new to me; You don't have to be big to be strong. That being said, it can be difficult to know which one to start with. I first bought 80kg on January 26, 2019 but I couldn't bend it at all and it's still my strength goal. Not being able to squat 80kg I bought a 40kg on January 29th 2019 which seemed too light to squat a full circle but was still good for overhead work. On February 4th 2019 I bought 50kg which was perfect so I stuck with it for about a month. Then I recently hit 60kg which is great for my current strength level and I can flex it fully for a few reps. I don't think I would have been able to squat 60kg if I hadn't been working on it since early February. From time to time I lift 80kg to check my progress; I'm happy to report that I can finally get it to move, but it's a beast and I'm a long way from flexing it to a satisfactory extent. It would be better if there was a 70kg option because I'm pretty sure I can squat it for 1-3 reps. In any case, I have to warn you that I was getting pains in my hands, wrists and especially my elbows from using these things TOO often. It's very nice to bend these things, especially when you're upset about something. But you definitely increase the chances of overexertion or muscle strain if you use them every day. For me, the most common injury was one that causes sharp pain in the elbow or forearm when you first twist or squeeze your hand; like turning a doorknob or opening a jam jar. I think the technical term is "tennis elbow" and it's a painful injury that can take days to recover from. So you should take this resistance calmly and try not to go into anger mode with them; I would advise against using them every day as this was my biggest contributor to my injuries. These are incredible exercise machines if you use them correctly and avoid overloading your arms and hands.
