Takes half a second to pull them out and put them on chairs. They look great and hold up securely. We put it on leather bar stools that our cat won't stop scratching. The leather is ruined but the chair is obviously still good, it just looked awful and has scratched the back from torn leather. Dealt with it immediately. Also found that cats can't/won't scratch them because then they put their claws in, they just catch on the fabric, and when they pull them out again the fabric just stretches with their claws and they don't get any satisfaction from it. Sensation of scratching, so that they stop at once. We wish we knew so we could buy these months ago first!
