Review on πŸ§— SCARPA Women's Origin Rock Climbing Shoes - Low-Volume, Women's Specific Fit for Gym and Sport Climbing by Brad Schillings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really good entry-level shoe for anyone who likes their own climbing shoes and has wide feet

So I went to REI and tried on the shoes before buying them online. The price online was better than in store. I went to the store because everyone I've ever spoken to told me to be very careful when buying climbing shoes. The shoe has a very specific fit that can only be recognized by trying it on during a shoe demo. I have wide legs. My regular shoes are actually specially designed, so I realized early on that my needs might be more specific than most people's. I found them very useful for my needs. It's a bit tight, like climbing shoes should be for good grip. I have a certain toe dexterity which is important for wall climbing. I love that it comes with velcro straps. My legs were a bit swollen when I tried them on (during my female cycle) and they fit well then and fit well now. I love the adjustable quality of this shoe. The only thing I don't like and would like to change is the choice of shoe color. I don't like teal, but I know that other colors are usually more expensive. I just want Scarpa to look for more options for those who want to customize the color.

Pros
  • Pressure-absorbing fit | This unique heel system distributes heel tension, reducing pressure on the Achilles heel while providing active forward pressure.
Cons
  • don't remember
