Since people love to read reviews, I'll get to the bad stuff first. I just installed this, so not much can go wrong in terms of defects so far. The only major issue I have with the design is attaching a crossbar. When the cooler is fully installed, the only thing holding the cooler in place is the crossbar, which has some slack where it connects to the base of the cooler. This allows the cooler to slide around a bit without much effort. The only other minor issue is the fan mount. If you don't want to completely remove the mainboard and mount it outside of the case, you can also plan a few curved fins. It's not physically difficult to attach the clamps, but it's almost impossible to get them to line up and slide between the ribs on the first try. It would be great if you could install the fan on the outside of the case before installing everything on the motherboard, but that would block the mounting screw. As it stands, I have a couple of ribs that are slightly curved at the edges. All in all I am satisfied with the cooler. It runs about 8-10°C cooler than the cheap Deep Cool freezer that was mounted on a stock i5-8400. The loose fit doesn't seem to affect performance, or at least not enough to bother me when using it. I like its looks and it's almost silent even at full speed, so there's plenty of room to upgrade to a more powerful processor. Black is great for a sleek build or limited RGB. I don't know if the grooves on the fan blades do anything functional, but I like their aesthetics. Overall this is great value for money. Even with the installation problem mentioned at the beginning, I do not regret this purchase so far. Little can go wrong with a set of cooling fins, and the fan can be easily swapped out if durability is an issue (unlike the Deep Cool, which has a non-replaceable fan).
