Just received it and can't comment on the water resistance. The touch screen function does not work. I spent a few minutes warming up the touchscreen (for touchscreens) fingerpads. There were a few times out of about 20 where the screen responded to touch/swipe/tap/tap etc. I played around with it a lot. As other reviewers have said, you'll end up taking them off when trying to use the touchscreen. My work is almost non-existent. However, I would feel like I would have gotten a great pair of gloves and more if they were sold without any of the touchscreen features. They fit well, are thick enough to provide significant warmth in winter in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, have reinforced suede material on the palm for added durability, are lightweight but thick enough for warmth while still providing good dexterity. I know my way around mountain gear and I often spend a lot of money on the best mountain gear. This is a GREAT buy with a 3M Thinsulate core making them very warm, durable and powerful.
