The best I can say is that this webcam does what it says on the tin. The digital zoom was important to me as a regular wide angle lens shows the parts of the room that people walk through and can be distracting. The button above provides 3-level digital zoom. The last zoom is very close. Too close for me, but it might be ok if your webcam is set wider than usual - about 2 arm lengths. The privacy shutter feels comfortable, but is a bit stiff. You will probably accidentally move the webcam away from its location while trying to close the shutter. There is a ¼-20 thread mounting hole on the bottom, so it can be mounted on a variety of camera mounts such as mini tripods and jigs, etc. Very helpful! It's pretty much plug-and-play, with the possible exception that whatever software you use, you might have to manually select the added USB webcam, or default to your default webcam if you're using a notebook. I had to do this for Zoom but not for Google Meets. The quality is much better than a typical laptop webcam. My $2000 Lenovo 2-in-1 and $800 Lenovo business laptop got a remarkable upgrade by switching to this USB webcam.
