I've been looking for the perfect knee pad for my tablets and this is the closest thing to perfection. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but there really isn't anything else on the market that compares. I've tried several knee pads and they all have one thing in common: instability. I have a tough tunnel carpel situation and need a lap stand that can take most of the weight of my tablet and hold it securely upright so I can swipe and nudge the screen without hesitation. Apparently this is all too complex for a lap rest, but this stand manages to do the trick. Flipy is essentially a triangular piece of foam with ribs on all three sides for your tablet to rest on. Each of the three sides offers slightly different viewing angles, and I prefer one that holds the tablet almost fully upright. The foam is covered with a soft zippered fabric. The fabric is soft and feels slightly velvety. There are lots of loose fibers and threads from the factory but nothing that would break the deal. I wish the zipper was better hidden and stayed more hidden, but that's just my personal preference. In any case, it bothers me a bit for my taste. I use this over another lap pad and the Flipy stays in place pretty well. I can push and push the tablet as hard as I want and Flipy stays in place and supports my tablet perfectly. I've used it with Kindle Fire HDX and iPad Air 2 and it works great for both. My carpel tunnel is very happy with this lap brace and I can enjoy my tablet time with no cramps or problems. Flipy is soft when squeezed but very firm and holds its shape. It's lightweight and looks well made. What attracted me was the design, the viewing angles and most importantly the stability it offers. I personally haven't found anything better for my needs. I received this for free in exchange for an honest review, which was nice as it doesn't come cheap. Although I have to say that after trying it out if you want something durable and functional it was worth the cost. It's better to spend money on something cheaper that doesn't work.
