I bought this converter to take pictures from 48 year old Super8 film I had from my school days. I was able to capture many sharp and very colorful stills from about 4 small Super8 rolls. I even took a series of about 50 shots and created a short video clip. Of course it was just to see if it worked, and it did. You can't do more, it's too exhausting. A film converter is best suited for this. As for using the device, I learned the features as I used it. It is so easy. After that, I took hundreds of photos of friends and family that I forgot I had on film. Transferring photos to my computer was very easy and also connecting the converter to a 32 inch TV with the cable provided gave me a very good big view to get the right exposure and color adjustments. Everything in the box was well packed and there were no problems pushing/pulling the foil despite having seams and creases. I chose this product over a similar product based on higher review scores, although the other product I reviewed had many more purchases.
