Review on πŸš— Enhanced Mobility: Portable Car Hand Controls Device for Injured, Handicap, and Disabled Drivers by Michael Baird

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Creepy, but good for emergencies, but definitely not as good as permanent professional control.

I used these on a Nissan Cube and was a little tricky to figure out the best way to attach them to the pedals, but after a few tries I found a setup that worked well. Driving them took a little getting used to and they always struck me as a bit patchy, but they worked. I would NOT want to use them long term but in a situation where my regular converted van was not available they allowed me to drive a car that otherwise would not be handicapped accessible. Suitable for rental or other short-term use, but permanent manual control is MUCH better. Note that the pedals in a car must be able to withstand both pull and push, as these controls work by pulling one up and depressing the other.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Clarity
