Review on 🎧 GranVela iRock A8 Sport Earbuds: Dual Driver In-Ear Monitor with Mic for Crystal Clear Sound - Perfect for Running, Workout, Gym (Blue) by Chantelle Mills

I am writing this review in comparison to the JVC Gumy Plus headphones which I also own. I have used the cheap headphones that come with the players as well as the $125 headphones and they all have a few things in common for great sound, PERFECT FIT, EQ if you have one and they all seem to break too soon (one ear comes out, there's no loves for me). About me: I have very large ear canals and prefer bright speakers and earbuds that emphasize vocals. I rarely turn on the bass. These Granvela A8 headphones are great headphones for the price if you love bass and can do it right and with an equalizer. I have a Galaxy Note 4 with Soundalive software and if you're not using the EQ you should be, but to get these A8s to sound the way I wanted them I had to use the large ear tips that came with my JVC Gumy Plus were (fit perfectly). The A8 comes with lots of ear tips, ALL too small for large ear canals. The difference in bass with the right fit is amazing, from no bass to lots of bass. Adjusted properly, these A8s are like adding a subwoofer to your head. I had to turn the EQ's low frequencies all the way up, which is too much for me. They aren't bright and aren't great for vocals unless you boost the mids. With the right equalization (I had to play with it for a long time) and fitting, they really make a very smooth, full sound. I can't stress enough that the bass is phenomenal, but it's too much for me. Like the JVC, both are new to me so I have no idea how long they will last, although they appear to be better finished and the cord can be swapped out. On the other hand, the replacement cable is expensive, about double the price of a pair of Gumy Plus. The JVC Gumy Plus for less than $10 came with headphones that fit my large ear canals. It also needed alignment to sound good and like the A8 they are very comfortable BUT if you value your bass with EQ too they won't compete with the A8. I had to fiddle with the EQ a lot less to get them to my liking, but they're brighter right out of the box. In summary, the Granvela A8.BASS HEAVY is not that great for vocals and high frequencies. If you have large ear canals, you may need to purchase different ear tips. Inexpensive, great sound and with an equalizer, you no longer have to spend money on fancy headphones that break anyway. The JVC Gumy Plus is great for vocals and comes with a really awesome EQ for less than $10. GREAT for large ear canals, comfortable. No extras, no spare cable, but you can buy 4 pairs for the price of A8s. TO UPDATE. It's been 22 months and the cable on my A8 finally got frayed and broken. I appreciated them so much that I bought a new cable for $13 and continue to use it. I still don't think they deserve more than 3 stars for the sound but for almost 2 years now for a cheap pair of headphones I use every day I think it's pretty good and the option to buy a new cable is Great.
