The first converter I used worked perfectly. When I switched to the next one, it didn't work in a similar application. After troubleshooting, disconnect the monitor, VGA cable, and PC. I found that the adapter is defective. Okay, a brick in a box will come out from time to time. Luckily I bought a 3 pack because I always need adapters so I go in the pack and pull out the last one and 'what the hell, same thing happens. So from a pack of three I get two "bricks". partly because a different adapter works somewhere at one of my customers, I can return three packages on credit because I only have two broken ones left. I ended up ordering a BENFI adapter and used it with no problems. My grief story aside, I will say that the build quality is lower than other well-known brands (Belkin/Benfi) As for the face, while trying to detach one of the non-existent devices, the end of the DP fall apart. in my hand Looking at the DP case, it's a simple latch and it looks like two of the tabs are broken. Overall, it might be worth paying an extra $2-$3 a piece to go with the branded ones.
