Wear parts defective

Both rubber bands broke after 5 minutes. What a disappointment. I had one as a kid in the 80's and it seemed like those fragile rubber bands have been around ever since. I tried it for my daughter and we got 1 cast with the first elastic and 3 casts with the spare set. Why bad quality for $14.99?

Pros

A flying bird from France. This is a fun mechanical plastic bird that actually flies with flapping wings.
