My hair is so thick and I always have a hard time with rubber bands. Thin elastics usually start out too small, so I have to stretch them to wrap my hair twice. Then after a while they get so frizzy that I can't get them to hold their hair properly. Don't even make me talk about the crowd breaking while I'm wearing them. This? At first I was skeptical. I wasn't sure what to think of that pearl in them. But they are VERY comfortable! They hold my hair with no problems. They go smoothly. My hair ties are usually so tight that a few strands hurt. Not with these. I could even wrap them around my wrist without leaving a mark. This is how I use her life. Very happy. Oh, and the colors are great! If you have thick hair like me, I would definitely recommend these.
