We've had this white West Elm comforter for about 5 years now and it's time to update it. After reading the reviews here we decided to take the plunge in the Ashley River and I'm so glad we did! (For $30 why not take a chance)?! Compared to the West Elm version, I like this BETTER: 1. It fits better: One thing I hated about the West Elm duvet cover was that it was absurdly large for a queen-sized duvet, so we always had to find extra fabric to put it in. This version by Ashley River is perfectly sized while still looking relaxed.2. It has a zipper instead of dull buttons! Definitely a plus compared to the West Elm version (laundry days were a nightmare). Also, there are still corner joints inside, which is great.3. The pillowcases are a little smaller than the West Elm but look fantastic inside with the same standard sized pillows (no problem). It's also good to know that the material is soft (but not cheap) and the textures in the tucks are firm and crisp. There is no need to lay or fluff anything. We have white and the color is "Bright White". FYI, it looks amazing. GET ONE.
