Does the job well. - Extension cord and surge protector

Cheap doesn't mean cheap and vice versa. This power panel is perfectly adequate and modern as it understands that humans have a billion wall warts and 8 outlets plus 3 wall warts = daisy chaining another power strip and some swearing. A whitish glow from USB sockets that is nice to see. It's unrealistic to expect this power strip to be a full 3.1A per USB output at this price point. The lowest common denominator of household AC switches is 15A (20/25 is more common on newer designs) and for this reason most general purpose 120V AC devices in the US are configured to not carry more draw than 12A. more expensive components - of course, nothing prevents an extension cord from drawing 15 amps to simultaneously power 12.4 amps from USB devices. (There are conversion losses). However, this also means that any other directly connected AC equipment will trip the circuit breaker for that circuit or the cabinet circuit breaker, if present. 1875 watts is pretty good. It would be easy enough to run a combination of a laser printer and one of the (heater, microwave, toaster, gaming PC and monitor). Powerful enough, sits flat, decent spacing, happily shiny ports, and a boxing card that brings the cost down to five dice for a five dice rating. Five bones for an extension cord is what you pay at a dollar store, not a decent one.
