Bought this set for my daughter (almost 6 years old) as I wanted a butter knife that she could easily hold. I like that butter knives are serrated and sharp enough to cut food. With this cutlery she can cut her own food and spread her own butter/peanut butter, giving her more independence. The spoons are a little bigger than I would like, but she will grow in them. The set isn't as heavy as regular cutlery, but it's made of stainless steel and is strong enough considering it's intended for children. All in all I would recommend this to anyone with children who are in the middle stage where they are too big for children's cutlery but too small for adult cutlery.
