09/01/2020: I mounted it on my boat's windshield to hold a 7 inch tablet to be used as a GPS. staple strength. The further you pull it out the more it moves as the tablet can be quite heavy on it. So I set it up to just sit on the dash avoiding the up and down movement. UPDATE: 02/05/2021 I declined my review because as mentioned above my boat had a prop installed and I don't use my boat every day. I've actually only used it a couple of times (4 max) and yesterday I discovered the support was broken. Broken at the junction of the mount and the suction cup. Couldn't take it!
