I recently bought a new fridge and ordered this because I knew I would have to change the filter soon. Eventually the "replace filter" light came on, but I was ready. Put in a new filter and off you go. The next day my son calls me into the kitchen because the floor is flooded with water. As I explore, I see water running down the back of the fridge and the entire fridge is flooded. Everything in the freezer was still frozen so I cleared it out and left the rye on top. The next day was a complete repeat of the previous day. Then I remembered that the problem started after changing the filter, so I researched that and it seemed to be the problem. I thought maybe it was just a bad filter so I opened up and installed another filter. same problem. Water ran out of the filter tank. So I went to LG.com and ordered a filter there. The problem is solved. Yes, it costs a lot more to buy a filter from LG, but in the end it doesn't. I just bought 3 useless filters and wasted hours of my time so this is not the deal I was thinking of. And, YES, these are the right filters for my fridge.
