A useful item that could be greatly improved - firstly due to a stronger design; the slightest touch makes his "limbs" wiggle. Forget about using this for weighty volume. He can't support it. Two metal "cubes" (don't know what they're for) on the top sides interfere with placement of reading material. The lip is so narrow that this stand is really only good for one magazine, and even then a thin one. You can throw your New York Times at it. Unfortunately, if you want to read the bottom half of the newspaper, you'll have to devise, as I did this morning, other means of trying to secure the newspaper to the stand with small paper clips. This item was reasonably priced, so I'm sticking with it and "walking around" while continuing to look for something that actually does the job.
