Poor quality control, no customer service, functionality issues

I bought this laptop after reading many reviews both praising Razer and cautioning against buying it. I ended up ordering through Revain because one of the warnings was that if there was a problem it could be difficult to work with Razer. The laptop arrived and I immediately noticed a dead backlight on one of the keys. A $2,500 laptop with a backlit dead key. I also noticed that some of the corners and edges are very sharp, including those on the front edge of the track. The keyboard is awkward to use and I often feel like I can't get it to work. I upgraded mine to 64GB RAM and two 1TB SSD hard drives. This process was simple and straightforward. The performance seems normal, the screen too. I keep thinking that I will contact Razer about the manufacturing defect and they might ask for the laptop to be returned. I called and was told that they only have 6 customer service representatives and any response could take 30 days. Four months later, be careful. It is now December 4th, 2020. I've had this laptop for about 3.5 months and I still don't trust it. I keep finding gremlins. Today's problem lies in the SD card reader. It doesn't read the SD card. This is incredibly frustrating. I've traveled the entire map in search of a reliable and durable laptop. Asus, MSI, Dell, HP etc. I've had about 30 laptops in the last 10 years. The overall quality of the laptop drops drastically. The sense of responsibility towards the customer also disappeared. One way seems to be the name of the game. This Razer was a disappointing waste of money, time and energy. It has enough engineering and design quality to inspire hope, but not enough to actually be a reliable and quality product. I enjoy tinkering with electronics and have been building my own computers since the 1980's. However, when it comes to a work laptop, I prefer not to think about its hardware/features. When it comes to this laptop, I'm sorry to say that I just don't think it will be there for me when I need it. There are better places and ways to spend your money. Avoid Razer until you find out for yourself.
