What looked like a good buy turned out to be a bad device. Since I wanted to modify the dash mount to accommodate the screen, due to all the bad reviews I made a preset. I triple checked all my cables, found a bad crimp connector and fixed it, but the audio was still barely audible from just one of the four speakers. The touch screen looks good. I liked the different menus, but functionality was important to me, so this was a big bug that many reported. 07/19/19 . The boss was probably fine. I didn't understand preamp wiring until I had the same problem with a block swap and continued my research. If you are interested in Boss do so and call support when you run into this problem which I couldn't.
