I purchased this product to help lower nitrate levels in my 10 gallon freshwater aquarium. The product does this, but it comes in such a bulky sealed bag that it literally took up all the space in my filter! To use it I had to remove the filter cartridge. I later figured out how to adjust the Bio-Bag filter cartridge to hold fewer pellets. That's enough for my small 10 liter aquarium. The manufacturer should produce this product in different bag sizes to better meet the needs of different tank sizes. It's unwise to force customers to cut those giant one-size-fits-all bags to find something that fits smaller filters.
