I LOVE this peep toe foot! A low shank machine is not optimal for free movement, the arm of the machine can get in the way of seeing where you are going, but I didn't know that until my brother bought it. I tried the Brother Free Motion foot, like the see-through foot in this backpack, but found it too low on the fabric sandwich to go through the seams, and also obscured where I was going. With this open toe foot I can see where I am, where I'm going and my free motion quilting has taken a huge leap forward! The most important part is that there is room under this foot for the blanket to move smoothly underneath, along the seams, and I have way more control than ever!
