I have used this "lifeline" several times while maintaining my 7/12 pitch roof (30ft tall). A simple slip on loose gravel or the wrong footing is enough to cause a fall. Call me a wimp for using the ABCs of fall protection, but when working on a roof, it's better to be safe than sorry. Some professional roofers are not seen with this type of protective gear because they are on schedule and safety detracts from the bottom line so it gets overlooked. As a roofer, there is no excuse for sacrificing safety. Of course, you can call a professional, but not all curious homeowners hold that view. Product arrived as pictured: 100ft tether, shock absorber carabiner and positioning tether.
