I read all the reviews, I read all the warnings but this thing was so cute I convinced myself everyone else was expecting it too high. It's made as cheaply as your inner voice tells you the price is. Listen to that voice. I bought it to use for the combined purpose of white noise and light breeze at work. I realized that other reviews had mentioned that volume was a good thing since I wanted white noise anyway. I regret buying this. It's not loud, it clicks, which is different. It makes a distracting clicking noise instead of a constant beep. Loud I would be fine. Also, the plug doesn't seem to fit quite right, I was a little worried it might be a fire hazard because it doesn't fit well, but then I stopped worrying because it was at work and not at my house was. As long as it doesn't burn, everything's fine, just cheap. Liked the color, liked the design but that can't make up for the rest. If you're a mechanically inclined person you can probably tweak this and remove the clicking noise and then you might like it.
