Let's be honest: vacuuming is no fun. But since this is the thing we need to use a machine that does the job well so that you spend as little time on it as possible. The first thing I like about this vacuum cleaner is that it is cordless. I've had several cordless vacuums in the past and I know some of you may think that one cordless vacuum doesn't do well. What makes this vacuum cleaner different is that you get wired power from a cordless vacuum cleaner. So using it is as convenient as picking it up from the charging station, turning it on and then vacuuming with great suction power. There are three power levels. Eco - ideal for everyday vacuuming. Suction power is very good at this level, and the battery lasts 45 minutes before needing to be recharged. Normal is the average level. Suction at this level is just as good if not better than my wired Dyson. A full charge lasts 18 minutes of normal use. High is (obviously) the highest level. This level has so much suction power that I find it difficult to move the vacuum cleaner over my carpets. If you lift the vacuum cleaner, the carpet will lift with it. High performance consumes a full battery in 8 minutes. Once fully discharged, the battery will be fully charged in about 30 minutes. This model comes with four nozzles. An upholstery/stair nozzle is included, a mini vacuum nozzle that makes cleaning sofas and stairs easier and simpler. There's also a crevice tool and a brush tool, both of which work well. The bristles of the brush are very soft so keep this in mind if you are looking for a stiffer brush for your vacuum cleaner. The last tool is a kind of combination tool. It has a brush that stretches across the crevice tool. From the description it sounds like it would be very helpful, but this is actually an area where the product falls short. The retractable brush retracts at the slightest touch. So what you actually have is a second grout tool with a brush skirt around it, making it less useful for filling grout. Not a problem enough to deduct a star as the other tools work just fine. The charger hangs on the wall and the vacuum cleaner is in the charger. On the side there is a slot for charging a second battery (not included) and several USB charging ports. The battery is charged directly in the vacuum cleaner. My previous cordless vacuum had a separate charger and had to remove the battery to charge. My kids would never do that, of course, so every time I touched the vacuum cleaner I found it dead! Greenworks has solved this problem and saved you time by combining charging and storage stations in one, which I find very handy. I really wish the vacuum was closer to the wall while hanging in the charger. He pretty much stands out. I don't think I have very large hands, but when I hold the handle of a vacuum cleaner, my three fingers fit very comfortably under the power button, but my pointer doesn't, meaning it either rests on the side of the handle or on the Button itself. My wife's hand fits perfectly under the button. Again, not for star shooting, but something to be aware of. If you have big hands, this might not be as comfortable as some other vacuums. The dust bin is not that big, but it is very convenient to empty it. The entire cylinder detaches and the filter rises, making it easier to empty and clean the filter. I couldn't be happier with this vacuum cleaner. We use it to replace a Hoover cordless vacuum, a wired Shark (which we've used for medium duty) and a full-size Dyson. So for us, not only does it clean the floors, it also frees up space for vacuum cleaners!
