UPDATE: (Initial Review see below) Not to say I misused this tripod but. other tripods might look at mine and pity it. Last weekend I took my old jeep and drove deep into the mountains of Montana along the old dusty logging roads. The tripod originally came nicely and conveniently packed in my little sleeping bag, but after the first use I just put it on the back seat. Jeep when I was looking for my next cash injection. This tripod bounced in the back of the jeep and had to be wiped down after a day trip because there was dust in every crack and crevice. I have used the hook to hang my camera bag at almost every stop and the bag is heavy! This tripod is a dream. In the last few shots, the mount was still spinning smoothly when I was shooting a panoramic video of the Bitterroot Valley! After a nice swim, I carefully folded the tripod and put it back in my sleeping bag until I needed it again. Yesterday my friend and I went to a camera store to buy another lens. She looked at tripods worth over $400 and asked if I needed an upgrade. I smiled and said. "Haha, no way. My cheap tripod did everything I needed from those arrogant tripods and I bet it did just as well.” If anything happens to my tripod, I'm happy and quick to hit the buy again button.
