These spark plugs came with my car when I bought it new. I noticed a 20% drop in fuel consumption and checked the spark plugs. After 40,000 km there was practically no wear and the game has changed minimally. I ordered a new set of spark plugs anyway, just to be sure. In the meantime I installed a Delco plug kit, the difference was day and night. The Delco spark plugs ran too cold, so the idle was rougher and the fuel economy went slightly over the original 20%. When the new Denso spark plugs arrived, I installed them and numbered them as well (although indexing the off-road spark plugs probably won't improve performance all that much). The difference was definitely noticeable, power definitely increased and fuel economy went back to the original 20% drop that prompted this experiment. Since all other factors that could explain the drop in mileage have been taken into account, I attribute this reduction to admixtures. I came to this conclusion because while driving I stopped at a gas station that sold pure unleaded petrol. With a tank of clean unleaded fuel, my mileage is back to normal. If you are switching to a different brand Denso fork, I would recommend installing Denso coils as well for optimal performance. A few bucks more for Denso spark plugs will certainly make a difference as the spark plugs will likely outlast the 100,000 mile claim and give you excellent performance.
