Review on 🔧 Robinair 48510 R134a Aluminum Manifold Set: High-Quality with 72" Hoses by Ben Boulanger

Initially I bought a cheap splitter kit (type HF). It was such junk that I sent it back, then did a little research and took a closer look. I bought this Revain Robinair kit for a little over double the price of those cheap kits. But wow! This is worth double or triple the price of cheaper sets. The aluminum part of the block with glass is very high quality. The gauges are very accurate, large and easy to read except for a line on the pound scale. The hoses are really good quality and very long compared to cheap kits. The quick couplers are not the premium robinair fittings, this is the economy version, but the robinair economy version quick couplers are still significantly better quality than the cheap kits. They just snap into place and don't waste a drop of refrigerant. Fittings and connections are of very high quality and do not lose a single drop of refrigerant (which makes their use safer for people and the environment). Cheap kits spray a dose of refrigerant every time you quickly plug and twist (which was pretty dangerous if you got on your skin and also ruined the car's paint job). These Robinairs don't do that at all and provide a reliable fast connection with no refrigerant splash. The blow molding is also very good. Don't waste your time with cheap and inaccurate kits, get this kit and you won't be disappointed. Another great thing about this Robinair kit is that replacement parts are readily available. So if you need to replace fittings, knobs, o-rings, or gauges, you'll have no problem getting them and repairing your manifold. With these cheap disposable kits, as soon as something small breaks, you'll have to throw it out and buy a new one. I also bought a faucet so this manifold can be used with small R134a cans that are available at any auto parts store or Walmart. Professional quality set.
