This is a great little computer for learning the basics of software development. I enjoyed programming the compass into this thing and playing around with how accurate I could get it to work (it was pretty much accurate to within 10 degrees). You really don't need more than what is included in the kit. There is an entire website dedicated to Micro:bit. You can also find more code examples and ideas online. If I were teaching kids to program, I would use this. It's simple, but powerful enough to do things that grab attention.
