I've been immersed in the world of acrylic paints a lot over the last year. I've done some projects that require fine detailing. This set works well as a base set. Just take a look. TUBES This set comes in a box with metal tubes. Each tube is individually sealed so you need to use the cap, twist and poke a hole in the top of the paint. HOW DO YOU OPEN? When you put the cap in the top of the tube you have to be careful as pressing on the tube puts pressure on the paint inside. If you're not careful, when you open the top, it will break out of the top and spread all over your body. I found keeping it at the bottom seam on each side helped a bit. THICKNESS OF PAINT The thickness of the paint isn't too thick, but it's not runny like the paint you sell at art stores for $1 a color. You can add some filler and it will still work just fine. COLORS The colors are well pigmented and also have a matte or satin finish. PROPERTIES? In this design I used purple, ultra blue and black. I'm attaching a photo so you can see it. The black outlines of the letters, the black color of the windows, the dark blue and dark purple contrast on the roof of each building, and the shadows were all made with this color. without getting too skinny. The color is intense enough for the desired effect. PROFESSIONAL OR BEGINNER? It means it's for both of you. I can say this is for some detail and fine tuning for the pros. This is not a bad color for beginners, but be careful when giving it to children. It will stain and stick wherever you place it, so make sure the area is covered as is. BOTTOM LINE This is a decent acrylic paint set. The texture is good, the pigmentation is decent, and the performance is solid. MY RATING IS FOUR STARS. The tubes are quite small and the way you then open them can make some tubes a mess, but overall I like it.
