This level helped with the room renovation. I installed it on a small staircase and was able to add center wall paneling in several rooms. I had to close the curtains a bit because when I made the room the sun was directly in the room and was a little hard to see. By pulling back the blinds a bit, make it as clear as possible. Even after installing the skin, I checked it with my level and everything was perfect. I have used this to help install paintings, posters, 2 mirrors and even wallpaper on the center wall and it worked perfectly. With this laser level you have the option of using a vertical, horizontal or cross cut. I recently started using this level to lay out the tiles in the kitchen and so far it has been very helpful.
