These suction cups are great for me. My shower screens are fiberglass (I think) and not glass or tile so I don't know how they work on those surfaces, but they work great in my shower. I just wipe the suction cup with water and press it firmly against the shower wall and it stays in place. It crashes on its own from time to time (after a few months) and sometimes it crashes when something bumps into it, but that rarely happens. I use these suction cup hooks to hang razors and sponges which are pretty light. I haven't tried hanging anything heavy on them so I don't know how much weight they can hold.
