User error and just bad quality and cheap product. I'll be the first to admit that I can't install something properly and/or it's clearly a problem for me. Not in this case. The product was completely defective and both screens broke within 24 hours of installation. There were no problems with the installation, the phone was mostly in my purse (it lay quietly on the table). Gave the product the benefit of the doubt when the first screen cracked, but clearly a cheap and useless product when the second screen cracked as quickly (within 24 hours) as well. Again, I'm very careful with my phone and not the type to bang it. Of course, one would think that such a product would stand up to some wear and tear. Other similarly priced privacy screens I've bought in the past have definitely lasted months if not a year. Was very happy with the price and the great reviews here but I would caution against buying. There's not even a way to go back. I will try to contact the seller as this product is faulty and if I get a positive response I may update this review. You can usually find good deals on products that have positive reviews, but unfortunately here you get worse than what you paid for. I hope this review will save someone the money and time I wasted and probably won't get it back.
