A set of 2 is good because if you only buy one you can very easily use it at home before a trip and then accidentally leave it at home. As we all know, suitcases obey the law of weight gain: the more fun you have, the heavier your bag gets! The time you really want to know your bag isn't heavy is on your way home, when you have fewer choices about what to do with your treasured memories or decorative shot glasses (don't judge me). However, this scale does what it says on the tin and works flawlessly. A clunky part is that you can't just hook it in like you can with other weights for it to perform at its best. You have to wrap the small strap over the handle of the suitcase and then put it back on the scale where it is secured with a hook. I have a feeling that a plain hook would be smaller and easier to use, but it works great. Good price for what you get.
