The chip is glass and cannot be moved without brakes

This kit is just the shell you need to transfer the guts from your old remotes to your new remote. That was the plan. Lol I was able to get the guts out of the old remotes and get them to lock and unlock the car with no problems with this part. From the side of the key you need to remove the transponder chip from the old one, it's small and glass. I spent about 30 minutes cutting it, I broke the chip. Thought it would work! When I tried to start the car the car went into safe mode and blocked driving. I had to take it to a car dealership. My advice if you plan to try it yourself. You can hand in the guts for the doors and take them to the locksmith with your old keys. Have them insert a new chip and cut out the keys and clone the new chip from the old keys. Don't try to remove the old chip, it won't come out without brakes. FYI, the locksmith charges $130 to cut and program a new flip-flop key. Clone a new key, don't buy this kit
