Received a small bag full of tiny beads - no instructions. After playing around with them, I found that a teaspoon of pearls in a hurricane vase filled with 4 cups of water did the trick. I left the dehydrated balls in the water for about 4 hours and they fully expanded. However, I didn't see them in the water at all, I had to strain the water and woo-la, here they are. I made another batch and tried adding food coloring to the hydrated balls that were still sitting in the water (before sieving). It worked great. I also tried coloring the water before adding dehydrated balls. This method also worked. I cannot say that this or that method gave the best results. In the end I didn't use it. I was looking for a vase filler for my reception desk. I was planning on adding a pomander bead to the top of each vase and these beads seem to have a "glow" that I just wasn't paying attention to. Bright pearls and elegant pomander balls just didn't go together. If you're looking for something to shine, this is perfect. You may find that you don't even need a light on them. Finally, I filled my vases with ribbons and strings of beads. You looked great. I will definitely keep them - I'm sure I'll find a use for them.
