No height or tilt adjustment, but very stable

Lamicall laptop stand very well made. It comes in a carefully packed box with simple assembly instructions. I was able to assemble it without instructions in 10 minutes using the included screws and allen wrenches. The kit comes with two Allen keys and 10 screws - although you only need 8 to assemble the product and the keys are the same size. The laptop base and plate have the same dimensions, but it's easy to see that one of them has "feet" and another has "lips" to keep the laptop from sliding off. A short pole is attached to the base and the laptop stands up using the included hex head screws. The top of the rack is angled so you can't get confused about how to connect it. I was very impressed with the durability of this stand. I have two other Lamcell iPad and iPhone stands and both are excellent quality. Building the stand was very easy and everything you need is included in the kit. The hex screws are very small and can be a little tricky to screw in, but a good light source and patience will get the job done. I found it best to loosen one screw first. The stand is solid and the laptop tray rotates 360 degrees. I would feel safe using both sides of the laptop on this stand as long as it's on a solid table top. But buyers should be aware that this laptop stand has a few things that make it less than perfect for me. However, I am not deducting a star from the rating as this product is well made and matches the description. Features I would have liked from this stand: ♦︎ The laptop tray is slanted, but the angle is fixed and there is no way to adjust it to different degrees of tilt. The tilt angle adjustment would be a great addition to this product. ♦︎ Metal laptop tray, without heat dissipation holes. It has two thin rubber bumpers and the heat should dissipate quickly through the aluminum frame, but I found my Macbook's fan kicked on fairly quickly when using it on this stand. Some extra ventilation holes in the laptop tray would be helpful.♦︎ The laptop tray with this stand is not height adjustable. The laptop shelf is about 4-5 inches from the desk and rotates 360 degrees but doesn't go up and down. If you know what you're getting—a solid, beautiful laptop stand that rotates but doesn't change angle or height—then it's worth considering. -------------
